James was commissioned to create a short film that could play on the giant onstage screens of Shakira's 'The Sun Comes Out' World Tour. The film would play just before the very last song of the set - 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)'.

Shakira is one of the leading ambassadors for the Global Campaign for Education also known as 1Goal: Education for All. She wanted a film that would help highlight the work of the campaign whilst also emphasizing the roots and strong ties the worldwide hit Waka Waka has within Africa.
